Belladonna: Belladonna is a chief remedy for fever. Fever is sudden and violent in onset. Fever is caused due to draught of air, cold wind, uncovering head and exposure to summer sun. There is high fever, sudden rise of temperature with red face and throbbing of carotids. Pulse is strong and quick. There is intense burning heat internally and externally. Sweat only on covered parts and on head. Extremities usually cold during fever. Fever comes at 3 PM. There is confusion of mind, anxiety and trembling with furious delirium during fever. Belladonna is also helpful in fever associated with any other inflammatory condition like tonsillitis, appendicitis, conjunctivitis, meningitis, rheumatism etc.

Ferrum Phosphoricum: Ferrum Phosphoricum is a chief remedy for fever and inflammations. It helps in the first stage of all inflammations, with fever and congestion, will often deal with it before it takes hold. The patient is nervous, sensitive and anemic with false plethora and easy flushing. Ferrum Phosphoricum is also useful in catarrhal fever. All catarrhal and inflammatory fever with chills every day at 1 PM.
Directions: Adults: Take 4-5 pellets or tablets orally by mouth and allow them to dissolve on tongue. Repeat at least 3 times a day, about 30 minutes before or after food. Similarly take the second remedy after a gap of 30 minutes, make sure to remember the sequence. Children: Half of the adult dose.
